What is Fluoride and why is it in our water?

Here is an interesting site to look at:

http://fluoridealert.org/

It is Fluoride Action Network, and it is dedicated to sharing the knowledge and bringing the latest news about the infamous substance added to our tap (and some bottled!) water - Fluoride.

If you are not familiar with what fluoride is, it's best to read their frequently asked questions:

http://fluoridealert.org/faq/

In short, fluoride is added to tap water in the USA because it is known to help prevent cavities and tooth decay. Fluoride is not an essential nutrient, and we don't really need it added to our water. Adding it to tap water to treat or prevent something makes it a mass medication. Whether you want it or not, it's there. Most European countries rejected the practice of adding fluoride to water. We, Americans, are still forced (yes, FORCED) to consume this substance regardless of our wishes.

Fluoride is POISON. It is toxic. Research confirms that consumption of fluoride leads to various health problems - from cancer to reduced intelligence. Of course, taking many poisons in minuscule quantities won't hurt you right away. However, fluoride accumulates in bones, and over time...

Now, I am particularly interested in fluoride effects on the brain.
Reduced intelligence and increased docility - doesn't it sound fun?
Someone or something out there benefits greatly from keeping us dumb and docile.
The "tooth decay" excuse doesn't convince me much.

For your information, fluoride DOES NOT evaporate when you boil your tap water. Many water filters also DO NOT filter out fluoride. If you want to keep yourself and your family, especially children, safe, you need to use non-fluoridated bottled water. You can also distill tap water or buy special filters that do get rid or fluoride.

Also, most toothpastes contain fluoride. Mouthwashes too, in large quantities. You do remember that digestion starts in the mouth, right? It is very important that your toddles and kids use fluoride-free toothpaste because children are especially vulnerable to fluoride effects. Buy fluoride-free toothpaste, or make your own.

If after reading the above-mentioned website and doing your own research you come to the conclusion that we do not need this poison in our water, please do your part and transmit this information to as many people as you can. Knowledge is power. We must educate ourselves. Tell your friends. Your parents. Children. Neighbors. Leave a link in your social network sites.

Thanks for reading and stay healthy!
